First Generation Soke Yasuhiro Konishi

Japan Karate Do Ryobu-Kai is an international organization practicing the style of karate called Shindo Jinen Ryu.  Established in 1923 Shindo Jinen Ryu is the first Japanese karate style founded by first generation Soke Yasuhiro Konishi.   “The purpose in Shindo Jinen Ryu karate-do is to develop the whole human being, physically and mentally.” (http://www.JKR.com)

Sensei Mina Yamazaki

Anaheim Karate is an official branch of JKR headed by Sensei Mina Yamazaki, a former US National Team Member.

Mina Yamazaki began her karate training at a very early age with her father, Sensei

 Kiyoshi Yamazaki, one of the most highly regarded karate teachers in world today. Her training also includes extensive time spent in Japan, where she was appointed by second generation Soke Konishi as one of the qualified instructors to teach the original Shindo Jinen Ryu katas. 

Sensei Mina Yamazaki graduated in 2008 from the San Francisco State University (SFSU)

with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio and Television. While at SFSU, she served as the Communications Director of KSFS (SFSU Radio Station). Even with her busy training and teaching schedule, she is still involved in the media/communications world with CBS Radio.

Sensei Mina Yamazaki has conducted JKR seminars in the United States, Venezuela,

 United Kingdom, Aruba, and Australia. She competed at the highest levels and placed first and second at the USA national championships repeatedly. Her accomplishments include:

All of our instructors are certified by Japan Karate Do Ryobu-Kai, International.  We are dedicated to instilling our students with important life-skills through the art of karate.
